ARCHITECTS ORANGE

Architects Orange has provided retail design services for over 30 years and multifamily design services for over 20. We have naturally emerged as a leader in the design of mixed-use projects that incorporate both uses and have become prevalent in the last few years.

“City Crossing,” located in Henderson, Nev. at the foothills of a large mountain range and within close proximity to an airport and a large metropolitan area, covers 126 acres of undeveloped land. After completion the complex will consist of 800,000 square feet of office space, 600,000 square feet of retail, hotel space and 2,500 residential units. The residential units will be a mix of 45 D.U./Acre (700-1,800 square feet) mixed-use, residential over retail along with a variety of 3- and 4-story on-grade wrap products at 50 D.U./Acre (650-1,500 square feet). A 5-acre park is an additional requirement for the project.

While mixed-use and Main Street projects are exciting, we still remained rooted in traditional retail design. Over 70 percent of Architects Orange's projects are traditional retail design. Our 30 years of experience tells us that a practical and disciplined approach to site planning is what is needed for neighborhood, power, community, entertainment and unanchored strip centers. Basic circulation patterns, parking fields, signage and visibility still drive the plan.

With this practical approach in mind the Architects Orange team fosters innovative solutions that create a unique character for each project. A theme is created early in the design process and color, materials and architectural details are determined to carry out that theme.

Fig Garden Village, a 300,000-square-foot lifestyle center on Palm and Shaw Avenues in the city of Fresno is an example of our approach to a traditional retail plan. The project, which has a tenant lineup that includes Banana Republic, Chico's, Coach, Coldwater Creek, J. Jill, Pangea, Pottery Barn & WineStyles, is an addition to an existing center and is expected to be an economic success for the city.

With offices in Orange County, Calif., Architects Orange provides architectural services in the western United States with projects currently in Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Jose, Sacramento and Seattle.
