Target Debuts City Stores

It's been a long time coming, but Target Corp. finally opened its first urban concept stores yesterday, in Chicago, Los Angeles and Seattle.

The stores are about one third smaller than a regular Target. Here's a photo gallery of the Seattle store, from the Seattle Times.

The New York Times also published an expanded analysis yesterday of how the retailers are trying to adapt previously suburban concepts to an urban environment.
