Brokerage Transwestern’s mid-Atlantic region today announced that it has brokered the sale of 1211 Connecticut Ave. NW located in Washington D.C. The property was acquired by the Harbor Group International from a fund managed by Blackrock Realty for $35.2 million.
Built in 1967, the property has undergone an extensive capital improvement program, which was completed in early 2009. It included new elevator systems and comprehensive common area and restroom renovations. The eight-story office building measures 125,119 sq. ft. and is located in the heart of D.C.’s central business district near three METRO rail stations. At the time of sale, the property was 99% leased.
Transwestern’s institutional commercial group, lead by Gerry Trainor, brokered the sale. The team focuses on sales throughout the D.C. region. The institutional commercial group brokered more than $1.9 billion in transactions since 2006.
