Diving into 'Deep Retrofits'

The Rocky Mountain Institute is trying to take some of the guesswork out of the non-energy advantages of a retrofit. The Snowmass, Colo.–based nonprofit group has released a new guide for owner-occupants aimed at helping companies to more accurately calculate the value in deep energy retrofits. What is notable about the report is that it tries to more clearly define the non-energy costs and benefits, risk reductions and overall value created in deep energy retrofits.
