Everybody Loves A Nut Tree

One of California's favorite roadside stops for genrations — The Nut Tree — is being reborn as a 300,000-square-foot lifestyle center, developed by Roger Snell & Co. The site started as a fruit stand in 1921. Later it became a restaurant that both Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford frequented. In the 1960s the Nut Tree Airport opened.
