FRCH Design Worldwide Steven Kopke has been appointed to vice president, program management for Cincinnati-based FRCH Design Worldwide. He will coordinate the development of systems for prototype documentation and site specific adaptation, and will customize project delivery systems for the company's capital development clients. Most recently, Kopke served as director in the Washington, D.C. office of Tulsa, Okla.-based BSW International.

Also, Brett Kratzer has been appointed vice president and principal of the company's architectural studio. He will oversee design and documentation systems, and will shape the studio's future direction. Most recently, Kratzer served as senior associate for Omaha, Neb.-based DLR.

Westmac Commercial Brokerage Co. James M. Fuller has been named vice president of Los Angeles-based Westmac Commercial Brokerage Co. Fuller will be responsible for retail sales and leasing in west Los Angeles, as well as investment sales. Most recently, Fuller was with Brentwood, Calif.-based Jalmar Properties Inc.

Pine Tree Commercial Realty L.L.C. Robert Moravec has been appointed vice president of property management for Lake Bluff, Ill.-based Pine Tree Commercial Realty L.L.C. He will assume overall property management responsibilities for 10 company-managed shopping centers, as well as for four projects currently under construction. Previously, Moravec served as operations manager for Northfield, Ill.-based Raymond & Associates.

Also, Ranae Hansen has been promoted from property manager to vice president of operations for Lake Bluff, Ill.-based Pine Tree Commercial Realty L.L.C. She will be responsible for supervising all administrative operations.

CB Commercial/Nicklies & Co. Dennis W. Schneider has been appointed vice president of retail properties for Louisville, Ky.-based CB Commercial/Nicklies & Co. He will oversee the company's retail properties. Most recently, Schneider served as partner for Nicklies & Co. prior to its merger with CB Commercial.

Cushman & Wakefield Kate Coburn has been named retail services director for New York-based Cushman & Wakefield. She will represent landlords in marketing and leasing retail space and will advise U.S. corporations on their retail decision-making. Most recently, Coburn served as vice president of retail leasing and marketing for Rockefeller Center in New York.

Grubb & Ellis Douglas P. Frye has been named president of the institutional services group at Grubb & Ellis, Northbrook, Ill. He will be responsible for disposition, asset, program and property management, leasing, mortgage brokerage, acquisitions sourcing, asset repositioning, and customized research. Most recently, Frye served as the group's managing director.

In Grubb & Ellis' management services division, James A. Rosten has been named western region president. He will be responsible for management services west of Colorado. Most recently, Rosten served as executive vice president and management service division manager for CB Commercial Real Estate Group Inc., Los Angeles.

Insignia Retail Group Frederick J. Meno has been promoted from managing director to senior managing director for Dallas-based Insignia Retail Group. He will be responsible for new business development, construction and national property management.

Factory Card Outlet Glen Franchi has been promoted from executive vice president to chief operating officer of Bensenville, Ill.-based Factory Card Outlet. He will assume responsibility for store operations, and will continue working in the areas of finance and treasury, real estate, construction, and MIS.

Jeepers! Inc. Dennis J. McMullen has been named senior vice president of development for Jeepers! Inc., Waltham, Mass. He will be responsible for corporate development and real estate acquisitions. Most recently, McMullen served as senior vice president of real estate for CVS Corp., Woonsocket, R.I.

CNM Associates Jacqueline Wammock has been named vice president and regional leasing director for Atlanta-based CNM Associates. She will be responsible for the company's Atlanta retail properties. Most recently, Wammock served as vice president of leasing for Atlanta-based Branch Realty Management.

Bullock Smith & Partners Don McCrary has been named thematic designer for Knoxville, Tenn.-based Bullock Smith & Partners. He will be responsible for developing themed retail entertainment venues. Most recently, McCrary was a designer for Irvine, Calif.-based Battaglia Associates.

Staples Inc. Westborough, Mass.-based Staples Inc. has made the following promotions. Ronald L. Sargent has been promoted from president, contract and commercial business, to president of North American operations. He will oversee contract and commercial business and marketing, as well as the company's U.S. and Canadian superstore operations. John J. Mahoney has been promoted from chief financial officer to executive vice president and chief administrative officer. He will be responsible for finance, information systems and human resources. Joseph S. Vassalluzzo has been promoted from president of Staples' realty to president of the company's realty and development division. He will be responsible for worldwide real estate and corporate legal affairs, and will assist in the area of mergers and acquisitions.
