Koll Development Co. Two top-level executives have been promoted at Newport Beach, Calif.-based Koll Development Co. Gerald O. Yahr has been named president, and Barry A. Chase has been appointed western division president.

Yahr, in his new role, will lead new business development efforts and oversee the firm's existing acquisition and development activities. In addition to managing the operational aspects of the business, he also will be responsible for overseeing nine regional offices.

Yahr, who was formerly executive vice president of Koll Development, also serves as executive vice president and corporate secretary for the firm's parent company, Koll Investments. Chase, in his new position, will assume the day-to-day responsibilities of the western division, including site selection, market feasibility, financial evaluation, financing, construction and leasing of projects through five regional offices in California and Colorado. He previously served as executive vice president for the same division.

R.J. Brunelli & Co. Inc. T. Gregory Williams has joined R.J. Brunelli & Co. Inc. as senior vice president. In his new position, Williams will be responsible for cultivating tenant representation accounts and training sales associates at the Old Bridge, N.J.-based retail real estate brokerage firm. Most recently, he served as director of real estate for Cost Less Home Store, a division of Lechters Inc.

MBK Construction Ltd. David C. Callis has been promoted to vice president, commercial construction, at MBK Construction Ltd., a division of Irvine, Calif.-based MBK Real Estate Ltd. He will be responsible for overall commercial construction operations and management. In addition, he will oversee the company's client management program, which assigns MBK personnel directly to specific national or regional clients. Formerly, Callis held the position of operations manager for the company.

Lat Purser & Associates Inc. Robert J. Otten Jr. has been appointed president of Charlotte, N.C.-based Lat Purser & Associates Inc. He will work closely with chairman and CEO Lat Purser in managing the firm's continuing growth and diversity of services. Otten joined the company in 1989 and has served as executive vice president for the past six years.

General Growth Properties Inc. Marc Offit has been promoted to senior vice president of e-business development for Chicago-based General Growth Properties Inc. In the position, he will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the company's online relationship with its retailers, including the development and execution of General Growth's mall-based e-commerce initiative. Most recently, Offit served as vice president of leasing and asset management for the company's properties in the Midwest.

In addition, John Davidoff has been promoted to president of center advertising for General Growth. In this role, he is responsible for advertising services, consumer promotions, event marketing and seasonal photography business units. Davidoff joined the company in 1998 as vice president, consumer marketing.

The Macerich Co. Commercial real estate attorney James H. Kinney has joined The Macerich Co., Santa Monica, Calif., as senior vice president and chief real estate counsel.

He will work on the legal aspects of Macerich's development and redevelopment projects as a member of the company headquarters legal team. An attorney for over 33 years, Kinney previously was a senior real estate partner in the Los Angeles office of international law firm O'Melveny & Myers LLP.
