Charlotte, N.C.-based Faison has acquired Boca Valley Plaza in Boca Raton, Fla., from Memphis, Tenn.-based Provident Life & Accident Insurance Co. for $10.7 million. The 121,000 sq. ft. shopping center, which is 85 percent leased, is anchored by Publix, Walgreens and Blockbuster Video.

The Shopco Group L.P., New York, has acquired Eastpoint Mall in Baltimore, Md., from New York-based Eastpoint Partners L.P. for an undisclosed sum. The 860,000 sq. ft., enclosed regional mall is anchored by Value City, JCPenney, Sears and Ames. Eastpoint Mall, built in 1956, was the Baltimore area's first shopping center.

Columbia, S.C.-based Edens & Avant has acquired four shopping centers for an undisclosed amount. Overlook Village in Asheville, N.C., was acquired from Greenville, S.C.-based Centennial American Properties Inc. The 150,000 sq. ft. shopping center is anchored by Books-A-Million, T.J. Maxx and Phar-Mor. Amelia Plaza in Fernandina, Fla., was acquired from Charlotte, N.C.-based Marketplace Properties. The 91,952 sq. ft. shopping center is anchored by Winn-Dixie and Eckerd Drugs. Rockbridge Place (71,074 sq. ft.) in Stone Mountain, Ga., and Marketplace (149,892 sq. ft.) in Palm Bay, Fla., were acquired from Marietta, Ga.-based Bronze Holdings. Both centers are anchored by Winn-Dixie.

Atlanta-based JDN Realty Corp. has acquired five Milwaukee-area shopping centers (a combined total of 1.1 million sq. ft.) from a partnership formed by William Orenstein of Milwaukee for $58.4 million. Market Place at Brown Deer (143,454 sq. ft.) is anchored by Pick 'N Save and HomeGoods. Brown Deer Center (217,093 sq. ft.) features T.J. Maxx, Kohl's, OfficeMax and Michael's. Shoppers World (190,142 sq. ft.) is anchored by HomeGoods and T.J. Maxx. West Allis Center (383,967 sq. ft.) includes Kohl's, Pick 'N Save and HomeGoods. Point Loomis (160,533 sq. ft.) is anchored by Kohl's and Pick 'N Save. This is JDN's first entry into the Milwaukee market.

A partnership owned by principals of Blum, Frank, Kamins Cos., Potomac, Md., has sold Bowie Plaza in Bowie, Md., to Bethesda, Md.-based First Washington Realty Trust for $10.75 million. The 103,531 sq. ft. shopping center is anchored by Giant Food and CVS. The transaction was arranged by Insignia/Barnes Morris, the Washington, D.C. office of Greenville, S.C.-based Insignia/ESG.

Lutherville, Md.-based Mid-Atlantic Realty Trust has acquired Wayne Heights Plaza in Waynesboro, Pa., from Illa Stern of Brooklandville, Md., for $5.3 million. The 109,000 sq. ft. shopping center is anchored by Martin's grocery store, Eckerd Drugs and Ames.

Atlanta-based Equity Investment Group acquired two shopping centers in the Atlanta area: Sandy Plains Connection, a 51,873 sq. ft. center anchored by Tuesday Morning, was purchased for $2.4 million from Marietta, Ga.-based BBDG & H Partnership. Citizens Square Shopping Center, a 75,162 sq. ft. center anchored by Winn-Dixie and Eckerd Drugs, was purchased for $3.3 million from Atlanta-based PAMI Inc.

Crown Life Insurance Co., Regina, Saskatchewan, has sold Market Place Shopping Center in Crown Point, Ind., to Chicago-based Crown Point Venture for $3.8 million. The 105,207 sq. ft. center is anchored by Jewel. The transaction was brokered by Chicago-based Tanguay-Burke-Stratton L.L.C.

Management and leasing assignments have been awarded to Atlanta-based ERE Yarmouth Retail by Greenwich, Conn.-based Greystone Realty Corp. for Fairlane Village Mall in Pottsville, Pa. The 453,000 sq. ft. shopping center is anchored by Boscov's and Value City.
