NAMES IN THE NEWS

DREW PETERSEN has been named vice president for Jones Lang LaSalle's leasing and management group based in Sacramento, Calif. He will focus on tenant representation and agency leasing, while contributing to the leasing and marketing efforts of the firm's 3 million sq. ft. Sacramento office portfolio.

JAMES M. KASIM has joined BentleyForbes as executive vice president and CFO to oversee national commercial real estate investment and financial operations. As a former senior manager with Ernst & Young, Kasim served in the real estate and hospitality group. Kasim will work with the BentleyForbes executive committee on the firm's investment, operational and growth strategies. The firm is based in Los Angeles.

MICHAEL F. PRESTON has been named the new president of Houston-based Creekstone Partners. After joining Creekstone Cos. in 2002, Preston worked with the real estate investment and development firm as CFO. Preston's responsibilities will include overseeing 13 Class A and B multifamily and commercial properties valued at $233 million.

MARK A. BUTH has been promoted to senior vice president of MB Real Estate in Chicago. Buth will continue his role as co-managing director of the leasing services department. In his new role, Buth will focus on new business development and project management/leasing efforts at the newest assignment in MB Real Estate's management and leasing portfolio, Michigan Plaza, a 2 million sq. ft. complex comprised of two buildings.

MARK G. BULMASH has joined Cleveland-based Forest City Commercial as senior vice president for development on the East Coast. Bulmash will be in charge of executing development projects in the region. He was formerly a vice president of development for Taubman Centers.
