Traffic Trackers Increase Network Developers of customer traffic monitoring and analysis systems, Chicago-based RCT Systems recently added three new participants to its National Retail Traffic Index (NRTI) program. They are: CBL & Associates Properties, Crown American Realty Trust and General Growth Properties.

The NRTI integrates customer traffic with other pertinent business data from a statistical sample of shopping properties worldwide, then delivers the information via the Internet at www.nrti.com. The program is aimed at providing mall developers, retailers and financial institutions insight into the U.S. retail industry.

New Firm Produces Custom Tile Design Ironrock Capital, a 100-year-old quarry tile manufacturer based in Canton, Ohio, has launched a new company for the custom ceramic tile market.

Architectural Shapes & Colors, also in Canton, specializes in the design and manufacture of tiles that meet the exact aesthetic specifications of architects and designers. The designs can be hand-picked from a library of shapes or, by using computer-aided drawings, clients can create their own assemblage of tiles.

TCA Symposium Set The Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) will sponsor the Tilt-Up Symposium, slated for Sept. 29 to Oct. 2 at the Dallas Marriott Quorum Hotel.

Designed for contractors, architects, engineers, developers and building owners, the conference will include two days of educational seminars, featuring both lecture and panel discussion formats. Topics include preconstruction planning, bondbreakers and connections, earthquake design, international markets, and superintendent certification.

Energy Tips Offered Online Illinova Energy Partners, an Oak Brook, Ill.-based subsidiary of Illinova Corp., has launched an online resource for facility and energy managers. The website, eqnetwork.com, provides information and support services that will help pinpoint savings opportunities in a changing energy environment.

Featured on the website is an introduction to utility accounting and energy management, a10-step approach to develop measurable savings, and an interactive forum that promotes cross-talk among industry peers.
