Seabrook Village set for wave of change

Catonsville, Md.-based Erickson Retirement Communities has begun construction of an assisted living and nursing care facility at its Seabrook Village, a retirement community in Tinton Falls, N.J. The center will be named Renaissance Gardens and will open in spring 2001.

The new facility will feature 96 assisted living apartments and 80 nursing care rooms in a five-story building. Every room will be private, and each floor will have a dining room, sun porches and recreational rooms. A two-story building featuring doctors' offices and physical therapy rooms will be adjacent to the residential section. Seabrook Village, which opened in 1998, currently has more than 400 moderate-income residents.
