EN Engineering Signs as Anchor Tenant for Cantera Meadows in Warrenville

WARRENVILLE, ILL.—EN Engineering has signed a new, 84,399-sq.-ft. lease at Cantera Meadows, a 203,842-sq.-ft. recently renovated office tower located at 28100 Torch Parkway in Warrenville, Ill., a western suburb of Chicago. The engineering consulting firm, currently based in Woodridge, is expected to relocate its headquarters to its new space in January of 2013.

J.F. McKinney’s Dru Shoemaker represented the building’s owner, CMJ/Cantera L.L.C., a joint venture partnership between M & J Wilkow Ltd. and CarVal Investors. Newmark Grubb Knight Frank’s Mike Fortuna and Brett Ratay represented the tenant.

“The newly renovated building offers a light-filled contemporary lobby, extensive amenities and attractive, fully furnished office space,” said Shoemaker, vice president at J.F. McKinney. “We have found that the move-in ready furnished conditions and the open layout of the building floors are appealing to companies looking for corporate office space.”

EN Engineering will occupy the lower portion of the building.

The ownership team of M & J Wilkow Ltd. and CarVal Investors acquired Cantera Meadows I and II campus in 2010 and completed renovations to the two buildings in 2011. The Cantera III building was then sold in 2011 to R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company for its worldwide headquarters.

The redevelopment of Cantera Meadows included lobby renovations, new elevator cab interiors, improved building exterior and redesigned entryways, as well as new landscaping. Tenant amenities at the property include a cafeteria, conference capabilities and a new fitness center.
