GE Healthcare, Cleveland Clinic Take Anchor Space at Cleveland Medical Mart and Convention Center

CLEVELAND—GE Healthcare and Cleveland Clinic have both agreed to come on board as anchor tenants at the Cleveland Medical Mart and Convention Center, slated to open in July 2013.

Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald made the announcement recently at the Cleveland Clinic Innovation Summit where he was joined by Tom Gentile, president and CEO, Healthcare Systems for GE Healthcare, and Dr. C. Martin Harris, chief information officer and chairman of the information technology division of Cleveland Clinic.

Scheduled to open in July 2013, the Cleveland Medical Mart and Convention Center is a $465 million project that will include a 1 million-sq.-ft. campus in Cleveland.

Upon completion, the center will provide health services, education and commerce to the people of the region. Trade show and conference facilities are also planned, which will include 225,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space and 90,000 sq. ft. of meeting rooms plus a ballroom.
