Kraus-Anderson Breaks Ground on Deephaven Woods

DEEPHAVEN, MN—St. Therese Catholic Church has partnered with Ebenezer Society to break ground on Deephaven Woods Senior Living here on the campus of the religious institution.

Kraus-Anderson is building the 78-unit seniors housing property, which is expected to open by summer 2014. Ebenezer will manage the property.

The new senior living community is located on a 14-acre site, part of the church’s 26-acre campus.  The two-story development consists of 78 units of independent, assisted living, memory care and Care Suite apartments, and is enhanced by onsite amenities including a chapel, heated, underground parking garage, an expansive two-story lobby, and outdoor patios, porches, gardens and walking paths.

Susan Farr, vice president of business development at Ebenezer, said the project fulfills the church’s desire to further its mission by providing a housing option to the region’s growing senior population.

“We’re excited to be working with St. Therese to build this special place which will serve all people in the greater community,” Farr said in a statement. “Deephaven Woods Senior Living offers everything seniors need for active, carefree senior living today, with the assurance of care for the future.”
