NAMES IN THE NEWS

JERRY ANDERSON has been named senior vice president for Sperry Van Ness. Anderson will begin his new position April 1, and will concentrate on strategic and business development opportunities, as well as manage the Florida region for Sperry Van Ness. Anderson formerly served as president of Coldwell Banker Commercial and senior vice president of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corp.

DAVID BROWN has been named president and CEO of ORIX Real Estate Equities Inc., a subsidiary of ORIX Capital Markets LLC. Responsible for the overall performance and strategic direction of ORIX Real Estate Equities, Brown will oversee 80 employees in five offices around the United States. Brown formerly was employed by Lehman Brothers as managing director in the global real estate group.

GREG FREEHAUF has been named senior vice president of TCB Design-Build. In his new role, Freehauf will lead the firm's pre-construction operations, sales and marketing. He is a former partner of IHC Construction Cos.

TIMOTHY ZAY has joined Spectrum Realty Advisors as vice president. He formerly was employed by Blue Ridge Capital, where he was responsible for leasing six Southeastern shopping centers.

ROGER BERNIER has been promoted to president and COO of Chelsea Senior Living LLC. Bernier formerly was vice president of operations and executive director of assisted living residences. As president and COO, Bernier will oversee the day-to-day operations of six residences.
