The Wolff Co. and the Barker Pacific Group started construction on the South Bank, a 3.6-million-sq.-ft. mixed-use district in Tempe, Ariz. The district will include interconnected retail, office, hotel and residential uses.

The Tetra Companies will develop Crescent Centre, a $300 million, 300-acre mixed-use development in Hardeeville, S.C. The project will feature 2 million sq. ft. of hotel, retail and commercial space and 320 multifamily units. Completion is scheduled for 2014.

Trademark will develop a 2.3-million-sq.-ft. mixed-use center near Beaver Creek, Colo. When completed, the center will feature 550,000 sq. ft. of retail and restaurant space, 13,000 sq. ft. of office space and 1,200 multi-family units.

AmeriBid appointed Fran Weichsel as vice president. Prior to joining AmeriBid, Weichsel served as a sales manager with the National Property Disposition Center, Fannie Mae's foreclosure division.

The Wilder Cos. received approval from the Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners for the development of the LOOP-Punta Gorda, a 2-million-sq.-ft. mixed-use center in Charlotte County, Fla. When completed, the project will contain 1.2 million sq. ft. of retail, 100,000 sq. ft. of office space, 200 hotel rooms and 500 residences. Ground-breaking is scheduled for the first quarter of 2009.

Executive Home Builders is developing Tivoli Village at Queensridge, a 1.4-million-sq.-ft. mixed-use center in Las Vegas. The project will combine 700,000 sq. ft. of retail and restaurant space with 340 residential condominiums. Opening is scheduled for 2009.

CASTO Lifestyle Properties and 1st Carolina Properties started construction on Park West Village, a 100-acre mixed-use center in Morrisville, N.C. When completed, the project will contain 700,000 sq. ft. of retail and restaurant space, 50,000 sq. ft. of office space, 140 hotel rooms and 325 residential units. Opening is scheduled for the fall of 2009.

DeBartolo Development broke ground on Mountain Vista Marketplace, a 1.3-million-sq.-ft. mixed-use center in Mesa, Ariz. When completed, the project will contain 700,000 sq. ft. of retail space, 384 apartments and two hotels. The first phase of Mountain Vista Marketplace will open in the spring of 2009.

Forest City Enterprises and Pruitt Associates will complete the Shops at White Oak Village, a $113 million, 900,000-sq.-ft. retail center in Henrico County, Va. Completion is scheduled for the fall of 2008.

CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. will develop the Promenade, a 700,000-sq.-ft. power center in D'Iberville, Miss. Opening is scheduled for the fall of 2009.

Lauth will develop a retail/entertainment center adjacent to the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wis. The project will feature more than 500,000 sq. ft. of retail space.

Cantor Fitzgerald, L.P. appointed Andrew N. Stark as executive managing director in charge of its new Cantor Real Estate, LLC division. Prior to joining Cantor Fitzgerald, Stark served as president of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions with WCI Communities, Inc.

JRPA Architects appointed James Grigsby as chairman and CEO. Previously, Grigsby served as president of the firm. He has more than 25 years of experience in architecture.

Cushman & Wakefield appointed John C. Santora as CEO for the Americas region. Santora has 30 years of experience at the firm. Previously, he served as Cushman & Wakefield's global COO. He will replace Tony Marano, who will step down effective June 30.

Regency Centers will complete the Shops at Stonewall, a 317,076-sq.-ft. community shopping center in Prince William County, Va.

AWE Talisman and Casino Retail Development will build Fashion Outlets of Cabazon at Morongo Casino Resort + Space in Cabazon, Calif. The center will feature 250,000 sq. ft. of open-air retail outlet space as part of the Morongo Casino Resort. Opening is scheduled for the spring of 2010.
