Bayer Headquarters Project Wins United Way Impact Award

MORRISTOWN, NJ—The United Way of Northern New Jersey has awarded its 2013 Impact Award to the team that worked on Bayer HealthCare’s East Coast U.S. headquarters property in Hanover Township, N.J.

The team recognized for the Bayer project included the sellers and developers Vision Equities and Rubenstein Partners; brokers Resource Realty and Cushman & Wakefield; architects Gensler and ka Architects; engineer and contractor Genesis Engineers; engineers Bohler Engineering and Rock Brook Consulting Group; contractor Barr & Barr; and law firms Fox Rothschild LLP and Gibbons P.C.

The Impact Award recognizes a commercial development project, sale, lease or other real estate transaction that had a positive impact on the northern New Jersey region.

The Bayer project included the consolidation of the company’s locations to a formerly vacant 94-acre site in Hanover, creating a 700,000-sq.-ft. class-A office space. The headquarters, which is targeted for a LEED Gold certification, will accommodate 2,400 Bayer employees and will house the global headquarters for the company’s medical and consumer care business lines as well as its U.S. pharmaceutical divisions.
