The Hampshire Companies Acquires 400,000SF Industrial Building in Carteret, NJ

CARTERET, NJ—The Hampshire Companies, based in Morristown, N.J., has acquired 200 Middlesex Ave. in Carteret, N.J., a 400,000-sq.-ft. industrial property that was built in 1992. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Located within easy access to the New Jersey Turnpike, the property is also nearby major ports and offers warehouse space and facilities.

“We anticipate increased activity in the port area over the next few years, and the building’s accessibility and close proximity to the ports made this an attractive investment opportunity,” said Michael Harrington, an investment manager for The Hampshire Companies. “Additionally, the size of the building and its wealth of functional warehouse space fit perfectly within our industrial portfolio.”
