30 East 20th St. Goes for $10M in an Off-Market Deal

NEW YORK—An investment group, headed by Walter & Samuels Inc.’s David I. Berley, purchased 30 East 20th St. for $10M in an off-market deal.

The sale of the building, which is located between Broadway and Park Avenue South in the city’s Flatiron District, was negotiated between Ivan Hakimian, founder of HPNY, a full-service investment sales firm acting on behalf of Berley, and an anonymous seller.

“As owners and managers of numerous Flatiron District buildings that have performed exceptionally over the years, we anticipate that this building, located on a vibrant street with destination restaurants, will thrive as a location for the area’s technology and new media companies,” said Mr. Berley.

Comprised of seven stories and positioned as a boutique office building, 30 East 20th St. includes loft-like office space and two ground-level retail spaces.
