ABM Industries Renews HQ Lease at Fred F. French Building in Manhattan

NEW YORK—ABM Industries has renewed its lease, totaling 29,063 sq. ft. of space, at The Fred F. French Building, located at 551 Fifth Avenue and 45th Street in Manhattan. Brian Feil and Kevin Driscoll, director of commercial leasing, represented The Feil Organization, which owns the property; Rob Martin and Brad Lane of Jones Lang LaSalle Americas Inc. represented the tenant. Brian Palumbo and Michele Frankel worked as in-house legal counsel for Feil.

Owned by The Feil Organization since 2001, 551 Fifth Avenue was built in 1927 and consists of 38 stories. Now listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the property originally housed the headquarters for real estate tycoon Fred Fillmore French.

The building has an art deco façade with bronze framed storefronts. Other tenants at the property include DHG Management Company L.L.C.; Kleinberg, Kaplan, Wolff & Cohen; and Tommy Bahama.

ABM Industries is an integrated facilities solutions company with a range of services for industries across the U.S. and around the world. Headquartered at The Fred F. French Building since the early 1990s, ABM has steadily expanded its space in the building.
