NEW YORK—Bright Horizons Family Solutions and Potbelly Sandwich Shop have both signed leases at Muss Development L.L.C.’s 345 Adams Street in Brooklyn.
Bright Horizons, a childcare and education facility, will occupy 15,000 sq. ft. and offer small class sizes with teachers trained in early childhood education. Children enrolled at the center will experience an enriching curriculum to help prepare them for school and academic success.
Potbelly, a restaurant that offers sandwiches, milkshakes and salads, will occupy 2,500 sq. ft. on the ground floor of 345 Adams Street. The location is the restaurant’s 10th in New York City. Potbelly has 240 locations spanning 15 states.
Ariel Schuster and Brian Segal of RKF represented Muss Development in the Bright Horizons transaction. Peter Occhi and Michael Hoffman of Cassidy Turley represented the tenant. Ariel Schuster and Brian Segal also represented Muss in the Potbelly lease. Benjamin Birnbaum of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Retail and John Epifanio of Potbelly represented the tenant.
Muss purchased the first two floors of 345 Adams Street from the City of New York in 2007. The developer is now underway with a multi-million dollar capital improvement program to reposition the two floors previously used for government office space.
