NEW YORK—Fareportal, an online travel group, has leased 40,848 sq. ft. at 135 West 50th Street. The space will serve as the company’s new headquarters facility. Corey Abdo, executive vice president and principal of Winoker Realty, brokered the deal on behalf of the tenant along with colleague Kristy Park.
Fareportal will relocated from its current office in December and will occupy the fifth floor at 135 West 50th Street for a seven-year, four-month term.
Fareportal is subleasing the floor from investment bank AllianceBernstein. Bob Alexander, Christopher Mansfield, Joe Mangiacotti and Scott Bogetti of CBRE represented AllianceBernstein in the transaction. Asking rent for the space was $40 per sq. ft.
Founded in 2002, Fareportal has more than 1,300 employees and seven offices in four countries. At its space at 135 West 50th Street the company will house more than 300 employees.
