Cedar Crossing Industrial Park to house Home Depot distribution center

BAYTOWN, Texas — Cedar Crossing LP has sold a 40-acre tract of land at the Cedar Crossing Industrial Park to Home Depot for the retailer’s 755,000 sq. ft. warehouse distribution center.

Home Depot decided on Cedar Crossing, after a seven-state site search, because of its numerous amenities required for today’s state-of-the-art logistics facilities. The suburban Houston location provides Home Depot with direct access to the Grand Parkway and Interstate 10, as well as rail service, barge service and the Port of Houston’s Barbours Cut Container Port.

The new facility, which will be Home Depot’s largest distribution hub in the United States, will serve as the company’s distribution base for the Southwest United States, including Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, New Mexico and Oklahoma. Home Depot also has secured an option for an additional 50 acres of land at Cedar Crossing.
