Industry City nabs 450,000 sq. ft. warehouse space

NEW YORK — Locally based Industry City Associates has purchased a two-building, 450,000 sq. ft. warehouse complex at 62 Imlay St. in Brooklyn for $18.5 million from Mercedes Books. New York-based Sholom & Zuckerbrot Realty LLC brokered the sale.

Industry City Associates, which also owns the huge Bush Terminal in Brooklyn now being converted into telecom space, plans to market the Imlay Street space to telecom tenants. Mercedes Books, which has relocated within Brooklyn, formerly used the site as a book distribution center.
