JBG Smith Properties plans to establish its headquarters in a new trophy building to be developed in downtown Bethesda, about 2 miles from what's now The JBG Cos.' headquarters in Chevy Chase. The announcement comes as JBG Smith, the combination of JBG with the D.C. business unit of Vornado Realty Trust (NYSE: VNO), prepares to become a publicly traded company later this month.
