CBL Opens Pennsylvania Shopping Center

CBL & Associates Properties Inc. opened the Crossings at Marshalls Creek, a 103,000-sq.-ft. shopping center in Stroudsburg, Pa.

Price Chopper anchors the property, with other tenants including Rite Aid, STS Tire, Family Dollar, Subway, YoCups Yogurt & Coffee and The Salon.

NGKF to Lease New York City Project

The Lam Group appointed Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Retail and Hospitality Services to serve as the leasing agent for the retail portion of a 400,000-sq.-ft. mixed-use development project in the NoMad neighborhood of New York City.

The project will contain 100,000 sq. ft. of retail space on Broadway, between 29th and 30th streets.

Rika Lisslo, Ross Perlman and Neal Golden will handle this assignment on behalf of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank.

Goldstein Group to Lease Arthur’s Plaza in Green Brook

The Goldstein Group has been appointed as the exclusive leasing agent for Arthur’s Plaza, a 38,000-sq.-ft. strip center in Green Brook, N.J. The center currently has three spaces available for occupancy, ranging from 1,600 sq. ft. to 3,200 sq. ft.

Chuck Lanyard and Lew Finkelstein will handle this assignment on behalf of The Goldstein Group.

Other Notable News

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet signed a 26,338-sq.-ft. lease at Green Acres Plaza in Saginaw, Mich. and a 36,000-sq.-ft. lease at Roundtree Plaza in Ypsilanti, Mich. Susan Acciaioli, Tony Schmitt and Jack Uhazie, of Mid-America Real Estate-Michigan Inc., represented Ollie’s in both transactions.

Several retailers opened stores at Waugh Chapel Towne Centre, a 1.2-million-sq.-ft. open-air development in Gambrills, Md. Thai at Waugh Chapel signed a lease for a 4,000-sq.-ft. restaurant; Luxury Spa Nails signed a lease for a 3,507-sq.-ft. salon; Elevation Burger signed a lease for a 2,368-sq.-ft. restaurant; Spring signed a lease for a 1,400-sq.-ft. retail and service center and Professional Sports Care & Rehab signed a lease for a 1,326-sq.-ft. space.

Casto signed several new tenants for Phase III of Park West Village in Morrisville, N.C. Ulta Beauty signed a lease for a 10,000-sq.-ft. store at the property. Other new retailers include Chico’s, White House/Black Market and Soma Intimates. All four stores will open in the spring of 2014.

Dollar Tree/Deal$ signed a lease with Astoria Properties Co. for an 8,000-sq.-ft. store at 32-75 Steinway St. in Queens, N.Y. Erin Grace, of SRS Real Estate Partners, represented the tenant in the transaction. Jeffrey Schettino, of Lucid Vass Realty Group LLC, represented the landlord. The store is scheduled to open in the fall of 2013.

Jones Lang LaSalle Retail hired Wendell Brooks III to lead the firm’s retail brokerage team in Hawaii. In addition, JLL hired James Greenwell and Robert Kelley to handle retail leasing and sales, Melissa Masicampo as brokerage coordinator and Mark Ching as graphic designer and marketing specialist. Over the course of his career, Brooks oversaw a property portfolio containing more than 2.5 million sq. ft. of space. He began his career with Chaney, Brooks & Co. in 1984.

LANE4 Property Group hired Mark Arensberg as an associate. In his new position, Arensberg will be responsible for landlord and tenant representation throughout the Kansas City metro area. Previously, he served as vice president with Colliers International – Kansas City.
