ICSC unveiled the keynote speaker line-up scheduled for its Retail Real Estate World Summit to take place September 12 through 14 in Shanghai, China.
The event’s keynote speakers will include Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple Inc.; former Prime Minister of Canada Brian Mulroney; Co-CEO of the Westfield Group Peter Lowy; Michael F. Moriarty, partner at A.T. Kearney and Chief Foreign Correspondent with Le Figaro Renaud Girard.
“The World Summit represents an unprecedented assembly of industry, political and financial leaders who will openly discuss the globalization of retail,” said ICSC President and CEO Michael P. Kercheval in a statement. “We are honored to have more than 50 of the world’s brightest minds and innovative thinkers share their insights on global opportunities for stimulating economic growth, social and humanitarian efforts.”

Last year marked a period of noteworthy growth in retail real estate, with $400 billion made available as direct investment in commercial real estate markets globally, representing a 25 percent increase from 2010. It is expected that this trend will continue in 2012.
