Elevator advertising companies merge to expand 'captive' audience

WESTFORD, Mass — Two of the leading elevator advertising companies are planning a merger that would create North America’s largest elevator media network. The deal, which is expected to close in the second quarter of this year, calls for Toronto-based Elevator News Network (ENN) to be merged into Westford, Mass.-based Captivate Network Inc.

The merger would expand the advertising reach of the two companies in major business cities such as Boston, New York, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco, Atlanta, Toronto and Vancouver. According to Captivate Network, elevator advertising through the network will reach up to four million business executives per day, which is more than the combined audience for Wall Street Journal, Forbes and Fortune.

The combined company will operate under the name Captivate Network Inc. Captivate and ENN’s wireless, flat-panel advertising displays are installed in 255 office towers across North America.
