Department Stores Holiday Sales Comparison

  • Department store chains racked up $21.74 billion in sales during the holiday shopping season, according to analysis of quarterly sales figures of several major department store chains.
  • The figure exceeded the $20.64 billion the same chains posted in 2009 and $20.98 billion in 2008, but was lower than the 2006 or 2007 figures.
