Veteran Institutional Sales Pro Joins Cushman & Wakefield

Darrell L. Betts has joined Cushman & Wakefield's Capital Markets Group as an executive director, based in Houston. Betts was previously chief investment officer of Thompson National Properties and president of its Middle East fund. In 2007, prior to joining Thompson National Properties, he led the top producing team nationwide at Grubb & Ellis, where he served as senior vice president of the firm's institutional investment group.

At Cushman & Wakefield, Betts will work closely with the Houston
office's existing capital markets group professionals.

Former GVA Williams Exec Joins Newmark Knight Frank

David Simson has joined the New Jersey operation of Newmark Knight Frank as vice chairman. With more than 28 years of experience, Simson has advised many of the largest owners and corporations with their real estate goals and objectives.

“We are thrilled to have David join our leadership team in New Jersey,” says Barry Gosin, CEO of Newmark Knight Frank. “David is a consummate professional, having assisted many of the nation’s largest corporations, and he brings strong relationships with both owners and tenants.”

Simson comes from GVA Williams of New Jersey, where he was cofounder, principal and president, responsible for strategic planning and leadership of the operation for a decade.
