Wereldhave USA Sells United States Mint Building in Washington for $147.5M

Wereldhave USA sold 801 9th Street NW, a 236,054-sq.-ft. class-A office building in Washington, D.C., to NSP Ventures for $147.5 million.

United States Mint occupies the entire building on a triple net lease basis with a term that won’t expire until September 2019. The eight-story property provides Level III security and a 190-space underground parking garage. It is also located in close proximity to the Gallery Place Metro Station, the New Convention Center and the Verizon Center.

Stephen Conley, Jim Meisel, Dek Potts and Andrew Weir, of HFF, represented Wereldhave USA in the transaction. J Street Cos. represented the buyer.
