University of Arizona’s Global Advantage Links Development Network

The University of Arizona’s Global Advantage program brings together an international network of regions that work collaboratively to develop economies based on high-tech industries and advances in such fields as biotechnology, optics, and defense systems. The network links industry with universities, research parks and institutions, capital networks and economic development organizations. Global Advantage and its partners help companies respond quickly to high-tech business opportunities around the world by providing local market information, university connections, technology transfer, incubation programs and professional services. The aim is to create a competitive advantage and stimulate regional economies through high-tech exports. Founding members include Tucson, Ariz., where the university is based, Ottawa, Berlin, and Manchester, England.
