Robert K. Futterman & Associates Louis G. Novick has joined New York-based brokerage firm Robert K. Futterman & Associates (RKF) as a managing director. Novick, who previously held the post of managing director of retail for CB Richard Ellis, will serve as RKF's director of tenant representation for retailers interested in expansion within New York City's suburban markets.

The Macerich Co. Jeff Probasco has been promoted to regional vice president of leasing for Santa, Monica-based The Macerich Co.'s Southwest region. Probasco, who has been with Macerich since 1982, most recently served as senior leasing manager for the region. Probasco will remain based at the company's Dallas office.

IMC Construction Scott C. Gracely has been promoted to senior project manager with Malvern, Pa.-based IMC Construction Co. Gracely's new responsibilities involve direct management of construction, contract documentation, scheduling, estimating, cost control and administration of field organization for the construction firm.

Edens & Avant Lyle Darnall has joined Columbia, S.C.-based developer Edens & Avant as vice president. Darnall, who previously worked for Books-A-Million Inc., will oversee the expansion of Edens & Avant's strategic business development initiatives and interaction between the company and its panel of national and regional chain retailers.

Rack Room Shoes Dave Osterhus has been promoted to director of real estate for the Charlotte, N.C.-based chain Rack Room Shoes. He will handle leasing activities for the entire chain. Rack Room's new Mid-Atlantic states director is Susan Bowling, former director of real estate for Duluth, Ga.-based Atlanta Bread Co. Bowling will be based in Atlanta. Nancy Criswell, based in Tampa, will handle leasing activities for the company's Southeast region.

RTKL Three vice presidents on the board of directors of Baltimore-based architecture and planning firm RTKL Associates Inc., have been promoted to senior vice presidents: Paul Hanegraaf, director of the firm's London office; Paul Jacob, director of the firm's Los Angeles-based ID8 division, which handles entertainment and thematic design; and Lance Josal, managing director of the firm's Dallas office.

Trammell Crow Co. Dorcey Abshier is the new city leader for Dallas-based Trammell Crow's San Diego operation. Abshier will foster the growth of its five core lines of business: brokerage, property management, development services, retail and outsourcing services. The company has also combined its Tulsa, Okla., operations under the direction of a single team, led by Jeff Hardy. As managing director, Hardy will oversee the brokerage, development, management and leasing of all the company's Oklahoma properties.

Keene Construction Co. Dale E. Scott, director of the pre-construction unit for Orlando, Fla.-based Keene Construction Co., will serve as the chairman of the program committee of the ICSC's annual Florida Conference in 2000. Scott is the first program chairman that has been selected from the design and construction segment of the industry.

Levin Menzies Kelly Associates Robert Kagan has joined San Francisco-based Levin Menzies Kelly Associates as vice president of acquisitions. He will be responsible for building the company's portfolio through investing $300 million in value-added commercial real estate in the Bay Area and in other markets on the West Coast. Kagan previously worked for the Pacific Valley housing Corp., Bank of America Investment Real Estate and Cal Fed Enterprises.

Developers Diversified Realty Michael Beck has been appointed senior project manager of planning and development for Cleveland, Ohio-based Developers Diversified Realty. Beck will be responsible for project and contract administration, planning, evaluation and design, construction procurement, and management and facility operation services for all projects. He will be based at the company's Western regional office in Salt Lake City. Bill Read, previously Southeast regional director of leasing at DDR, has been promoted to senior leasing director. In addition, the company has appointed Tony Vodicka and Tom Zoldesy as leasing managers. Voldicka will be responsible for DDR's properties in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Minnesota, while Zoldesy will focus on the 2.6 million sq. ft. of regional mall locations throughout the Midwest.

Taubman Courtney Lord, formerly president of Alexandria, Va.-based retail leasing firm Lord Associates, will serve as senior vice president and managing director of leasing at Taubman Centers in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. Lord's appointment comes on the heels of Taubman's $7.5-million acquisition of his company.

Glimcher Realty Trust Michael P. Glimcher has been elected president of the Columbus, Ohio-based REIT by its board of directors. A 10-year veteran of the company, Glimcher was elevated to executive vice president in March 1999 and previously served as senior vice president of development and leasing. He will continue as a member of the board of trustees, a position he has held since 1997.

U.S. Factory Outlets Inc. Mark Cole has been appointed president of New York-based U.S. Factory Outlets Inc. Cole, who joined the discount retailer in 1996, most recently served as senior vice president and general merchandise manager. Cole has also served as vice president for McRae's Inc. and for the Leslie Fay Cos.

Zifkin Realty & Development Todd Cabanban and Marc Rubin have joined Chicago-based brokerage and development firm Zifkin Realty & Development LLC as executive vice presidents. Cabanban, formerly executive vice president and managing director of Hiffman Shaffer Associates Inc. (HSA), has 10 years of experience in commercial real estate, including sales and leasing positions at Citiscape and American Invesco. Rubin, a former vice president in the retail brokerage division of HSA, has worked in the Chicago commercial real estate market for seven years.
