Simon DeBartolo Group Inc. Indianapolis-based Simon DeBartolo Group Inc. has named Karen D. Corsaro and Andrew Halliday co-presidents of Simon Brand Ventures, the company's strategic business and mall marketing unit. Corsaro and Halliday will oversee development of strategic business opportunities. In addition to her serving as co-president, Corsaro will retain her title as senior vice president, marketing and retail development; Halliday also will continue to serve as senior vice president of strategic business development.

The Retail Group George L. Collins has been named vice president of The Retail Group, Washington, D.C. He will be responsible for business development in the greater Baltimore area. Most recently, Collins served as vice president for Baltimore-based Hicks & Rotner Retail Inc.

Staples Inc. James C. Peters has been promoted to executive vice president of U.S. stores for Westborough, Mass.-based Staples Inc. He will be responsible for operations, distribution, human resources and specialty businesses for Staples' U.S. stores. Previously, Peters served as senior vice president, western division.

Koll Real Estate Group Gerald O. Yahr has been promoted to executive vice president, western division, for Newport Beach, Calif.-based Koll Real Estate Group. He will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, retail development and acquisitions. Previously, Yahr was senior vice president, western division.

CRES Development Co. Inc. Bruce Gorsky has been named vice president of Lynnfield, Mass.-based CRES Development Co. Inc. He will be responsible for portfolio and asset management, as well as acquisitions, financing and dispositions. Previously, Gorsky served as consultant for Newton, Mass.-based MCM.

Noddle Development Co. Barbara Kelly Bredthauer has been promoted from vice president of administration to executive vice president for Omaha, Neb.-based Noddle Development Co. She will be in charge of mortgage financing and loan closings; property acquisition closings; the company's property insurance program and other corporate legal matters.

Also, Dale R. Novacek has been promoted from property management director to vice president of property management and leasing. He will oversee the company's property management portfolio and will oversee the leasing of small shop and outparcel GLA.

Office Depot Inc. John Macatee has been named president and chief operating officer for Delray Beach, Fla.-based Office Depot Inc. He will be responsible for the company's entire store group, and well as its business services, merchandising and marketing departments. Previously, Macatee served as president of Cleveland-based Sherwin-Williams.

R.E. Crawford/RECCO Corp. Heidi White has been named national business development and marketing director for Springdale, Pa.-based R.E. Crawford/RECCO Corp. She will focus on building the company's client base. Previously, White served as marketing director for Pittsburgh-based Hans Musser Landscapes.

Edison Brothers Stores Inc. Mark H. Brown has been promoted from real estate director to executive vice president, real estate and construction, for St. Louis-based Edison Brothers Stores Inc. In leading the company's construction department, Brown will combine store design and maintenance with his existing real estate duties.

Horizon Group Inc. Paul Comarato has been named vice president of operations for Horizon Group Inc., Muskegon, Mich. He will manage operations for the company's national portfolio. Previously, Comarato was property management director, eastern region, for Chelsea GCA Realty Inc., Roseland, N.J.

Hollis & Associates Inc. Steve Bowers has been promoted to senior vice president, management services, for Larkspur, Calif.-based Hollis & Associates Inc. He will oversee the portfolio of Hollis-managed properties owned by The Irvine Co., including Fashion Island in Newport Beach, Calif., and Irvine Spectrum Entertainment Center in Irvine. Previously, Bowers served as vice president of management services.

FAC Realty Trust Inc. William H. Neville has joined FAC Realty Trust Inc., Cary, N.C., as executive vice president and chief operating officer. He will oversee day-to-day operations and provide strategic leadership for the marketing, leasing and legal operations of the company's portfolio. Previously, Neville served as regional president for Muskegon, Mich.-based Horizon Group Inc.

Collateral Mortgage Ltd. David A. Roberts has been promoted from senior vice president to executive vice president and chief operating officer for Collateral Mortgage Ltd., Birmingham, Ala. He will be responsible for overseeing commercial and multifamily real estate lending; staff development; and expanding the company's investor base.
