Berlin's Sony Center nabs big lease deal International pharmaceutical group Sanofi-Synthelabo is moving its German headquarters to the new Sony Center at Postsdamer Platz, a 400,000 sq. ft. mixed-use business center in the heart of Berlin. The firm will move into its 40,000 sq. ft. space in early 2000. New York-based Tishman Speyer is developing and managing the project.
GE, Heitman taste first bite of Hungarian office market GE Capital Real Estate and Heitman International have purchased Buda Square, a five-story, 190,000 sq. ft. office building in Budapest, Hungary. The project, completed in 1995, was acquired from Austrian developer Realia, and is leased to blue-chip tenants including Shell, GE, Hoechst, Volvo, Ford, Xerox and Motorola.
