The 500,000-square-foot Orchard-Stone Creek in Murrietta, Calif. is notable in that the project's design is meant to evoke the region's 150-year history as a citrus hub. The idea came from Retail Development Advisors president Allan Davis, who worked with architects GreenbergFarrow. The inspiration? Davis' mother Olive is a historian and suggested the theme.
