Prior to joining the Dallas-based commercial real estate services firm as executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Steven E. Pumper held senior positions with Insignia/Barnes Morris and the National Realty Committee. He has also been with the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. In his new position, Pumper will supervise the company's corporate marketing, new business development, client services and corporate communications activities.
NREI: How has your background with various associations prepared you for your current position with Transwestern Property Company?
Pumper: It's allowed me to establish relationships with industry leaders on a personal level rather than solely on a business level. I've been able to work with them on special projects pertaining to issues affecting the industry regarding tax, capital, credit, environmental and telecommunications issues in my days during National Realty Committee, as well as focusing on regional and local issues on an industry-wide basis while at NAIOP.
NREI:What will your responsibilities be in your new position?
Pumper: One goal is to enhance corporate communications externally to our clients to increase their awareness of the accomplishments of Transwestern. We're in a growth mode right now both geographically and by service lines. A second goal will be to promote cross marketing within our organization.
