Jim Horne has been promoted from chief information officer to president and COO of Lender Technologies Corp. (LTC) — a wholly owned subsidiary of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America (MBA), Washington, D.C. — which provides technology and information solutions, products and services to the real estate finance industry.

Sandra Boyle, executive vice president of asset management for Glenborough Realty Trust in San Mateo, Calif., has been appointed to chair the National Advisory Council (NAC) of the Washington, D.C.-based Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International for the 2001-02 term. She has been a member of BOMA for 13 years and has served on NAC for eight years.

Robert J. Winter Jr. has been named senior vice president of development for Equity Office Properties Trust, Chicago. Winter most recently served as president and CEO of AMLI Commercial Properties Trust, Itasca, Ill.

Peter B. McMillan has resigned as president and COO of The Mills Corp., Arlington, Va., and also will resign from the company's board of directors. Laurence Siegel, the company's chairman and CEO, will assume McMillan's duties in the interim.

Peter C. Roberts has been named executive vice president and COO of Chicago-based Jones Lang LaSalle effective Jan. 1, 2002. Roberts, who currently serves as executive vice president and CFO, will oversee the operating, planning, marketing and business development activities for the firm. He will report to Christopher A. Peacock, who previously was named president and CEO of the company, also effective Jan. 1.

Shaun F. O'Malley has been appointed to the Freddie Mac board of directors. O'Malley is a former chairman of Price Waterhouse LLP, now part of New York-based PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Stevan Sandberg has joined The Staubach Co., Dallas, as president of Staubach Advisory Services, a new division of the company. Sandberg, based in Staubach's New York corporate services office, will head the new group that will formalize the company's existing strategic planning services and financial consulting capabilities for corporate and institutional clients. He also will serve on Staubach's executive committee.

Tom Melody, Brian Stoffers and Mike Melody, executive managing directors for L.J. Melody & Co., a CB Richard Ellis company, Los Angeles, collectively have assumed the title of CEO of the company. The trio replaces Larry Melody, who retired as president and CEO of L.J. Melody in June and retained the position of chairman.

James B. Karman, who served as president and CEO of Boston-based Spaulding & Slye Colliers since 1992, recently assumed the title of chairman and will continue as CEO. Richard H. Cross III has been named president of the company.

Stuart R. Essery and Robert A. Ortiz have been appointed executive managing directors of U.S. Operations for New York-based Cushman & Wakefield, and both will be based in the company's Los Angeles office.

In other Cushman & Wakefield news, Peter W. Savoie has been appointed executive managing director of the firm's financial services group and will be based in its Denver office.

Jake J. Ragusa has been appointed vice president of marketing and development for Dallas-based Koll Development Co.
