Greensboro, N.C.-based Steven D. Bell & Co. has begun construction of Homeplace of New Bern, a 60-unit assisted living and Alzheimer's complex in New Bern, N.C. In addition to developing the 29,500 sq. ft. facility, the Bell firm will also manage Homeplace. The owner is a Bell-led limited liability company called Homeplace of New Bern LLC. Occupancy is slated to begin in March 2001. The assisted living and Alzheimer's sections will have 48 and 12 units, respectively.
