New Jersey steady for Hartz Mountain, First Industrial

Chicago-based First Industrial Realty Trust Inc. has 200,000 sq. ft. of industrial development in its New Jersey pipeline. Meanwhile, in another New Jersey deal, Seacaucus, N.J.-based Hartz Mountain Industries has renewed a lease with The Standard Register Co., Dayton, Ohio.

First Industrial plans to develop Sayreville Business Center off Exit 124 of the Garden State Parkway in Middlesex County. The project will consist of two 62,000 sq. ft. flex buildings, with the first building scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2001.

At Worlds Fair Corporate Center in Franklin Township, First Industrial plans to build a 72,000 sq. ft. spec industrial building. The company recently completed two buildings totaling 75,000 sq. ft. that have 5,000 sq. ft. remaining for occupancy.

In Seacaucus, N.J., Standard Register renewed a 125,400 sq. ft. lease with Hartz Mountain.
