NEWS: Dan Donahue 1942-2002

Donahue Schriber is searching for a successor following the death of Dan Donahue, co-founder and chairman of Costa Mesa, Calif.-based developer Donahue Schriber. A member of SCW's editorial board, Donahue died Dec. 31 from complications following heart surgery. He was 60.

“Going forward, we'll be implementing a succession plan,” says Tom Schriber, Donahue's partner and company president. Schriber will assume Donahue's day-to-day duties until a successor is named.

Donahue became chairman in 1982. Donahue Schriber's notable development and redevelopment projects have included Glendale Galleria in Glendale, the repositioning of Fashion Island in Newport Beach and the industry's first ‘demalling’ at Anaheim Plaza in Anaheim. In October, the California Business Properties Association honored him with its Champion of the Industry Award.
