Touch And Go

Southern grocery chain Piggly Wiggly, which operates 116 stores, plans to install Pay By Touch systems in four of its South Carolina locations this July. The system will allow customers to pay using a finger scan linked to their bank account, eliminating the need for cash, credit cards or checks. The sign-up process for Pay By Touch takes less than a minute. According to the company, the process makes checkout lines move 33 percent faster.
