Construction Begins on Grandville, Mich. and Green Bay, Wis. Cabela’s

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN.—Construction has begun on two new Cabela’s stores in Green Bay, Wis. and Grandville, Mich. Minneapolis, Minn.-based Kraus-Anderson Construction Company is serving as general contractor and construction manager on the projects.

Both stores will feature wildlife displays, a gun library, aquarium, boat shop and deli.

The new 88,000-sq.-ft. store in Grandville, Mich. will be the state’s second Cabela’s store and will be located in the Rivertown Mall in a 380,000-sq.-ft. retail center. The store is slated to open in the spring of 2013.

Located at Highway 41 and Lombardi Avenue near Lambeau Field in the Village of Ashwaubenon, the Green Bay, Wis. store is a joint venture between Cabela's, the Green Bay Packers and the Village of Ashwaubenon. The Packers organization owns the land and is leasing it to Cabela's. The store is slated to open in the summer of 2013 and will be the third Cabela’s location in Wisconsin.

Headquartered in Sidney, Neb., Cabela's Incorporated is a specialty retailer and direct marketer of hunting, fishing, camping and related outdoor merchandise. The company was founded in 1961.
