Kansas Leadership Center Looks to Opus for HQ Building

KANSAS CITY, MO.—Kansas Health Foundation has hired Opus Design Build L.L.C. to design and construct a new three-story building that will serve as the Kansas Leadership Center's statewide headquarters and a conference center for the Kansas Health Foundation.

Opus Design Build L.L.C. is serving as the design-builder on the project. Opus AE Group Inc. will serve as architect and engineer of record.

Construction of the Kansas Leadership Center and Kansas Health Foundation Conference Center is set to begin this month with completion slated for July 2013. Upon delivery, the 36,000-sq.-ft. facility will serve multiple functions for the organization, including hosting conferences, group meetings, lectures and trainings. Designed to achieve LEED Gold certification, the building will feature office and classroom space as well as a 210-person auditorium.

Launched by the Kansas Health Foundation in 2005, the Kansas Leadership Center promotes civic leadership with the goal of creating stronger, healthier communities.
