Hartz Mountain Corp. Takes Space at Gotham Industrial Park for R&D

NEW JERSEY—The Hartz Mountain Corporation has signed a lease to occupy 640 Gotham Parkway, a 25,000-sq.-ft. industrial property in Carlstadt, N.J. The manufacturer of pet supplies is relocating its research and development facilities to the 640 Gotham Parkway address from its facility in Bloomfield.

Jones Lang LaSalle’s Tom Reilly and David Knee, managing directors, and Blake Chroman, vice president, represented the tenant in the transaction. The building ownership, Prologis, was represented by Jones Lang LaSalle’s Rob Kossar, managing director, and Chris Hile, vice president.

The property has 3,500 sq. ft. of office space, 16-ft. ceilings, three exterior loading docks and parking. Located within the Gotham Industrial Park in the Meadowlands submarket, 640 Gotham Parkway provides access to the New Jersey Turnpike, Interstate 80 and Routes 3, 4, 17, 46 and 120.

Hartz has plans to upgrade the property.
