Madox in Paulus Hook Earns Gold Award from Professional Builder Design Awards

NEW JERSEY—Madox, the 131-unit rental property currently under development by Fields Development Group in Jersey City, recently received a Gold Award for green design in the 2012 Professional Builder Design Awards.

Judged by architects from across the U.S., the awards recognize companies and buildings that illustrate design quality and success in the marketplace. Madox received high marks for exterior design/curb appeal, interior architecture, sales/marketing, construction quality/cost efficiency and green features.

Madox is on schedule to earn the first LEED certification for a residential building in Jersey City and, upon completion, will include such green elements as a PV solar array, roof garden, electric car charging stations and systems to reduce water consumption. The building will also be under contract for at least two years to provide 35 percent of its electricity from renewable sources.

Situated at 198 Van Vorst Street in Paulus Hook, Madox includes a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom residences ranging from 480 to 1,312 sq. ft. of space. Homes include hardwood floors, 9-ft. ceilings, washer/dryer units in every home and master baths with custom vanities and tile. Kitchens have 42” cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, gas cooking, Caesarstone countertops and tile floor and backsplash.

Amenities include a keyless entry system, 24-hour doorman, state-of-the art gym, a lobby lounge with a library, business center and communal technology table with iPad station, iMac and PC.
