ASA College Signs 160,000 SF Lease at JEMB’s Herald Center

NEW YORK—ASA College, which offers degree programs in accounting, computing programming, information technology and medical assisting, has signed a long-term lease to occupy approximately 160,000 sq. ft. at Herald Center, a retail and office property located at the corner of 34th Street and Broadway in Manhattan. Bobby Dweck negotiated the deal on behalf of the owner, JEMB.

Currently, ASA occupies space on the first three floors of the property. Its new lease will relocate the tenant to the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh floors of the property, where it will be able to consolidate classroom and administrative space into one Midtown location.

In addition, ASA will have a dedicated ground-floor lobby entrance at the property. Standing 10 stories tall and totaling 250,000 sq. ft. of retail and office space, the property will undergo renovations, including the replacement of black glass panels with transparent panes. In addition, JEMB, which acquired the property in 1986, will update the building’s façade on the base floors. Floors four through 10 will be updated to include LED panels.
