The Feil Organization Completes Multi-Million-Dollar Renovations at Two Landmark NYC Properties

NEW YORK—The Feil Organization has completed major lobby and entryway renovations at 7 Penn Plaza and significant lobby renovation at 488 Madison Ave. Goldstein, Hill & West Architects LLP was tapped for both projects, which commenced last year.

Standing 18 stories tall, 7 Penn Plaza is located on 7th Avenue in the Penn Plaza District. Constructed in 1921, the property now features an entryway with 16-ft. entrance, modern reception desk, cove lighting, granite finishes, updated elevators and renovated corridors and restrooms.

The new lobby at 488 Madison Ave. includes honed gray limestone with a polished white Calcutta stone border. The elevators are framed with satin-finished stainless steel and the entire lobby features eco-friendly LED lighting. Overlooking St. Patrick’s Cathedral, 488 Madison Ave. stands 23 stories tall and contains 447,000 sq. ft. of space. The property was designed in 1949 for Look Magazine.
