Law Firm Takes 18th Floor on Third Avenue

NEW YORK—Goulston & Storrs, a law firm founded in 1900, has signed a 10-year lease for the entire 18th floor of 885 Third Ave. The firm will occupy a total of 19,270 sq. ft. of build-to-suit space at the property where it will be relocating from its current space at 750 Third Ave.

Known as the Lipstick Building, 885 Third Ave. was purchased in 2010 by a group of investors headed by IRSA and the Marciano Investment Group. Since the acquisition, the property has undergone infrastructure, lobby and plaza renovations.

Representing the building during the transaction were Newmark, Grubb, Knight, Frank’s Scott Klau, executive vice president and principal, and Eric Harris, senior managing director. The tenant’s broker was Stuart Eisenkraft, vice chair, CBRE.

Completed in 1986, 885 Third Ave. totals 34 stories and is located between 53rd and 54th streets. The property was designed by Philip Johnson with John Burgee Architects.
