Praedium, Beacon Break Ground on Apartment Development

NEW YORK CITY— The Praedium Group and its partner, Beacon Communities, have broken ground on the development of an additional 120 apartment units in the Rosemont Square community of Randolph, Mass. The new development will complement the current 384 garden-style apartment units, which are undergoing renovations.

Following the acquisition of the existing 384 units in mid-2008, the joint venture received approval to build the additional units on the site and broke ground on the project in December 2011. A new clubhouse, pool and fitness center was recently completed at the development. Substantial interior renovations were also made to the existing units, such as the installation of new windows and doors. Exterior and ground improvements included new siding, facades, renovated balconies, concrete walkways and roofing repairs.

Davis Square Architects of Somerville, Mass. and Stantec Consulting of Boston served as the project and landscape architects, respectively. Pro Con Inc. of Manchester, N.H. is the general contractor overseeing the entire expansion project at Rosemont.
